Wilmington, DE—Aloysius Butler & Clark, a full-service marketing communications agency, has partnered with Zip Code Wilmington to help launch its new computer coding school in downtown Wilmington, Delaware. With media relations and digital advertising among the key components, the campaign will utilize the agency’s public relations, media, and creative teams. The school will train students to become world-class computer software developers to fill a steadily growing need in the business community.

“Not only is Zip Code Wilmington our region’s first computer coding school, but it is also one of the first nonprofit organizations of its kind in the entire country,” says Paul Pomeroy, Director of Marketing at Aloysius Butler & Clark. “Zip Code Wilmington will allow our city and state to attract, educate and retain talented programmers.”

Courses will initally focus on Java, Javascript and .net, but will evolve with the needs of locally-based companies. Zip Code Wilmington will offer an apprenticeship program through alliances with area businesses. Entry-level coding positions average $55,000 per year.
